1. What you are booking
This booking is for a visual inspection and Section 137B report for the owner-builder work you tell us about. We can only inspect areas that are safely and reasonably accessible and visible at the time of the inspection.
2. Information you give us
Please make sure the property details and information about the owner-builder work are accurate. Tell us about all work that should be included in the inspection.
3. Access and inspection limits
We may not be able to inspect areas that are concealed, blocked, unsafe or otherwise inaccessible. We do not remove walls, finishes, furniture or building materials to expose hidden work unless this has been separately agreed.
4. Booking and inspection time
Payment confirms your booking request, not the exact appointment time. You can choose preferred dates, and we will use flexible area scheduling and send you an inspection time to confirm.
5. Payment and price
The price shown at checkout must be paid before a standard online booking can proceed. If the information provided changes, or the job is outside the work covered by the quote, we may need to review the price before the inspection.
If you ask us at the inspection to include work that was not in your booking, that extra work is charged at our onsite rate, which is higher than the online booking price. We will show you the price and ask you to agree before we inspect it.
6. The report
The report records what the inspector can observe at the time of the inspection. A defect that is hidden, inaccessible or not reasonably visible may not appear in the report.
7. Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. Any limitation in these terms applies only to the extent permitted by law.
8. Privacy and records
Your booking details, inspection records, photos and report may be stored using secure cloud services so we can provide the service, keep business records and operate the booking and inspection systems. See the Privacy Notice for more information.
